Freetown Christiania is an anarchist commune in Copenhagen, Denmark covering several streets of the city. The commune is known for the large volumes of drugs flowing within it. While the community has traditionally resisted police efforts within it, in 2024 a joint effort between the community and the police managed to temporarily halt activities in its main trading street.

Recently, Trump decided to withhold public funding from universities (which accounts for roughly half their overall budgets) and revoke foreign student visas unless they "dewokify". This looks like ending DEI hiring, cracking down on university protests, downsizing departments considered "woke", and revising curriculum related to critical race or gender theories
